It’s time to pick out a free book from Amazon First Reads! Once again there’s a nice selection covering several popular genres. You can click on the image to find out more about each book. Amazon First Reads monthly free book is a perk of our Prime Membership.

My pick is The Promise of Wonder by Katherine Webb. It’s the first book in a trilogy. Book tow in the series has a tentative publication date of September 2026. I haven’t been reading much outside of my Bible study and daily devotionals. It doesn’t help that I woke up yesterday with a sore throat, raging headache and the realization that I was getting sick. I had to cancel my plans for this evening, which saddens me, but I don’t want to risk getting anyone else sick. And I need to get better quickly because I do not want to miss church this Sunday or the last membership class. Worst case scenario…I skip Sunday school and morning worship service and just attend the membership class and evening worship so that I can take communion.

Getting sick now is better than getting sick a few weeks from now because I’m shooting a wedding this month. I’m only coming out of retirement as a wedding photograph because it’s for my Great-Niece’s wedding. I also got to shoot a baby shower last month so obviously photography remains active in my life and that brings me so much joy.
